Customized Texas Photo Contracts

Alicia Calzada was a professional photographer for 20 years before becoming a media law attorney in 2011. She knows what professional photographers need and how to protect their work.

Contracts That Protect Your Business and Build Lasting Relationships

As a former professional photographer, Alicia Wagner Calzada understands the challenges freelancers and small-business photographers face. Her philosophy is that a contract is part of your customer’s experience with you and is an important part of your relationship with your customers. A good contract protects your rights, but a great contract protects relationships. It anticipates the questions that will come up with your customers in six months, a year, or ten years, and resolves those issues in advance.

During her 20-year career as a photojournalist, including her tenure as president and advocacy chair of the National Press Photographers Association, Alicia found herself advocating for photographers’ rights. Her passion for First Amendment and copyright issues led her to transition into law, where she has spent 14 years as an attorney representing a wide range of media companies, news organizations, photographers, and trade organizations, including the National Press Photographers Association (NPPA), where she advocates for photographers’ rights, and helps shape key federal and state legislation.

The Essentials photo contract kits are flat-fee legal services, born of her commitment to support professional photographers like you. Designed for real-world challenges that Alicia knows well, the kits provide you with customized contracts to give you piece of mind – whether you are just starting out or strengthening existing contracts.
